- cooking spray
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Spray the crockpot with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Remove the neck and giblets from the whole chicken. Pat it dry with paper towels.

Rub the seasoning mix all over the chicken, covering it evenly.
Place the chicken breast-side up in the crockpot. Cover with the lid.
