- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 5 tablespoons salted butter at room temperature (or coconut oil)
- 1 cup hot water
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add softened butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Gradually pour in hot water and knead until a smooth dough forms.
Divide the dough into equal portions and roll each into a ball.
Lightly flour a surface and roll out each ball into a thin circle.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook each tortilla for 30-45 seconds per side until lightly golden.
Transfer cooked tortillas to a clean kitchen towel and cover to keep warm.
