For the Filling:
- 1 cup cream cheese softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries diced
- 1/2 tablespoon sugar
For Coating and Frying:
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons butter for frying
For Garnish:
- Powdered sugar for dusting
In a bowl, whisk together cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream until smooth. Fold in diced strawberries and sugar.
Roll out each slice of white bread with a rolling pin to flatten slightly.
Spread the cream cheese mixture on half of the slices, then top with the remaining slices to form sandwiches.
In a shallow dish, mix flour, sugar, and cinnamon for coating.
Melt butter in a frying pan over medium heat.
Dip each sandwich lightly into the flour mixture, then fry in butter until golden brown on both sides.
Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess butter.
Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm. Enjoy!
