Brown Meat:
- In a Dutch oven or stock pot, brown the ground beef or sausage over medium heat. Drain excess grease.

Saute Veggies:
- Add chopped onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic. Saute for 5-6 minutes until softened.

Simmer with Spices:
- Stir in onion powder, garlic powder, cumin, and broth. Bring to a simmer. Cover the pot and reduce the heat to low. Cook for 10 minutes.

Add Cream Cheese and Cheddar:
- Remove the lid and stir in softened cream cheese, green chiles, and shredded cheddar cheese. Whisk until fully combined and smooth.

Thicken Soup (optional):
- For a thicker soup, stir in 1 tablespoon cornstarch dissolved in 1 tablespoon cold water. Stir until the soup thickens to your desired consistency.
Serve:
- Serve with extra cheese, fresh tomatoes, green onions, or chopped avocado if desired.
