- 2 ¼ teaspoon Active Dry Yeast or 1 packet
- ¼ cup Honey
- 4 tablespoons melted butter divided
- 1 large egg at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups 480 grams all-purpose or bread flour
Scald the milk – Heat until steaming but not boiling, then cool to warm.
Activate the yeast – Mix warm milk, yeast, and honey. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
Make the dough – Combine yeast mixture, egg, melted butter, salt, and flour. Knead until smooth.
