Scald the milk – Heat until steaming but not boiling, then cool to warm.
Activate the yeast – Mix warm milk, yeast, and honey. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
Make the dough – Combine yeast mixture, egg, melted butter, salt, and flour. Knead until smooth.
Let it rise – Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Shape the rolls – Roll out the dough, cut into squares, and place on a baking sheet.
Second rise – Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Bake – Brush with melted butter and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
