  • 2 tbsp raw cane sugar
  • 4 ounces cold vegan butter e.g., miyoko’s
  • 1/3 cup dairy-free milk
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup raw cane sugar or any other vegan sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup melted vegan butter
  • 1/2 cup vegan applesauce
  • 1/2 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup vegan chocolate chips or chunks

Instructions
 

  • Preheat Oven: Set to 350°F (175°C).
  • Make the Crust: In a food processor, pulse flour, sugar, vegan butter, dairy-free milk, and sea salt until a dough forms.

  • Bake the Crust: Press dough evenly into a 10-inch pie pan and bake for 18 minutes.

  • Prepare the Brownie Batter: Keep the oven at 350°F. In the food processor, blend flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, melted vegan butter, applesauce, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in chocolate chips.
